CHILDRENS MUSEUM OF SOUTH CAROLINA

The Children's Museum of South Carolina serves the state and local community, as well as visitors to the Grand Strand area by presenting interactive exhibits and programs in an environment where visitors can "Touch, Explore, and Play" while learning about their world. HALL OF HEROES

Sands Resorts, has opened a new “Hall of Heroes,” a permanent tribute to the men and women of the armed services, law enforcement and and firefighter organizations who have protected and defended America’s freedom.
The centerpiece of the “Hall of Heroes” is a scaled replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, complete with all 58,253 names. Other displays include information about each war and conflict in which the United States has been involved. In addition, there’s an exhibit honoring all 2,984 Americans who perished in the attack on 9-11 and a special dog tag display that will feature dog tags individuals have made in tribute to a loved one.
IMAX THEATER

The 400-seat IMAX 3D Theatre has been designed with steeply tiered seating decks so that every person’s view of the screen is completely unobstructed. The giant screen is more than six stories tall and measures 60 feet by 83 feet and has a slight curvature that enables the images it carries to fill viewers’ peripheral vision. 12,000 of digital surround sound. Be prepared to be blown away!
INLET POINT PLANTATION

Saddle up and have a blast at Inlet Point Plantation, featuring horse rentals and riding for every kind of adventure enthusiast! They also offer UTV tours for all of you that may not be quite sure about touring the plantation on horseback. Guided tours through the plantation by the hour and half hour is available. Half day and day UTV destination trips to Waites Island are also available. Take Hwy 17 to Cherry Grove Beach exit in North Myrtle Beach. Take a left at top of exit at stop sign. At first traffic light, turn right onto Little River Neck Road. Follow 4 miles to dead end. Plantation entrance is at edge of pavement on left. Follow left driveway two miles through plantation to stable.
